Mid-Century Meets Modern Living

Sam and his wife wanted to renovate their new 3-room executive condo, with a specific brief for a mid-century style that they loved, but grounded in a practical need to accommodate their family of two children and their love for showcasing their travel keepsakes.

New Home, New Experience

Having gone through an unpleasant renovation experience in the past, they approached this project with added caution and a heightened sense of scrutiny. 

And so when they came to Homescape, we made it our priority to ease their renovation journey.

For Space or Solitude

One of the existing bedrooms was opened up to create a larger shared living area, reflecting the family’s preference for spending time together in one cohesive space.

A partition was introduced to allow the space to be sectioned off when privacy or separation was needed, maintaining flexibility without compromising openness.

Configured for Conversations

Following the same principle, workstations were designed to flow seamlessly into the pantry area, which also doubles as the family’s main dining space, alongside food preparation and storage zones anchored by a kitchen island.

This integrated layout encourages continuous interaction across daily routines, allowing conversations to flow naturally even as different activities take place throughout the home.

Textured Touches

With spatial constraints in mind, layered wall textures, rich colour contrasts, and a mix of leather and wood materials were used to build depth and warmth. Statement lighting fixtures were then introduced to tie the mid-century aesthetic together, giving the home its final sense of cohesion and character.

Feeling at Home

We were very glad that Sam’s experience with us was the start of good memories being made in this home.
