Reimagining this HDB Executive Maisonette meant honoring a legacy of space and tradition. We transformed an aging, original-condition unit into a breezy sanctuary that balances smart technology with warm, Indian-inspired design. Natural light and cross-ventilation take center stage here, creating a home that feels open, organic, and deeply personal.

The Grand Arrival

A Foyer Built on Tradition

Respecting cultural requirements was the starting point for this layout. We extended and leveled the front foyer to create a dignified entrance that centers on the family altar. It was important to maintain the sanctity of the space, hence the shoe cabinets were placed intentionally, resulting in an entryway that feels ceremonial yet remains highly functional.

The living and dining areas flow together in one continuous line to accommodate frequent hosting. We unified these social zones with a consistent design language, anchored by a sleek, modern staircase with gold accents. This layout ensures the home feels expansive and inviting, whether the family is hosting a large gathering or enjoying a quiet evening together.

Maximising Air Flow Through Smart Window Placement

Since the homeowners prefer natural breezes over air conditioning, we fully utilised the additional window areas in the bedrooms to encourage airflow. Every resident is treated with equal care; the guest rooms and the helper’s suite carry the same high design standards as the rest of the home. From curved wardrobes to bespoke details, every corner of this Modern Villa focuses on long-term comfort and well-being.
